Anisotropy
Anisotropy
In the fall of 2010, SCI-Arc invites French architect Odile Decq to participate in the installation series in the school gallery. Her design, Anisotropy, is an experiment of simple spatial organization with a reflective material to alter and obscure one’s perception. This installation aims to question the way we move through space and challenges the mental perception we elaborate by means of altering our magnetic anisotropic properties.
Carmelia is the selected project manager in charge of the installation. Her role includes communication between designers and students helpers, construction documentation, material research and experiment, bidding and negotiation, organization and supervision of a group of 15 students.
