"Spirit Wall" is an ancient Chinese screen system that typically installed at entrance. Geometry of square or circle are used within the wall to symbolize the stability of the family or the unity of family.
Penha Hill has a folded circle implemented in its screen wall, half of which acts as shelving where the other half is a mirror embedded in its adjacent wall, symbolizing the multi-facet of stability and unity in an infinite manner.
The design language is carried throughout the space, ties together the atrium in the living area. A crease is introduced at the semi-circular atrium to create depth and modulate light. This interior renovation project transforms the existing single family residence into a cohesive design while adding a one-bedroom-suit within its perimeter.
Construction to commence in late 2020.
